Polygon addresses frozen by stablecoin issuers

What a freeze is, and what it is not

Fiat-backed stablecoins ship with a contract function that lets the issuer stop a specific address from moving the token. Tether and Circle use it to comply with sanctions designations, to assist law-enforcement requests, and to immobilise stolen funds. This page records that the issuer applied that function to these addresses, and nothing beyond it. A freeze is an issuer action, not a court finding, and it does not establish that the holder committed an offence.

Balances shown are the value the ledger captured at the moment of the freeze. Where the lookup did not return a figure the cell reads "not captured", rather than zero, because an empty wallet and an unrecorded balance are different claims.

For the chronological feed of freeze and release events across every chain, see the stablecoin freeze ledger. This page answers a different question: which addresses are frozen right now on Polygon.
